Every once in awhile I stumble across a great talent that is overlooked and very much underrated thus is the case with Eric Roberson. If you happen to watch videos on the VH1 Soul channel then you might have caught him in the video doing a collabo effort with another fine talent Lahla Hathaway who is also an amazing singer and a treasure of a talent.
Anyway here is a couple of his latest videos you should watch and become familiar with his sound and then support him, not bootleg him.

I was thinking about some of the singers that made a blip on the map and then just as quickly as they came they disappeared. You know it takes more than just having talent to sing you have to have a work ethic, plus a drive to want it, and a willingness to do it by whatever means, and let us not forget you need a management team that will saturate the market and be about getting you out there to the masses ad nauseum plus it kind of works against you when your record company folds, or your group disbands, or you simply just didn't have what it took to make a lasting musical impression, but everyone that gets a music deal will simply not go on to become music legends you have to know your product, and if you are your product then you have to know if you are long term or fly by night. Some people making music now guaranteed won't be making music still in 2012 you won't even remember them unless you come across their video on youtube if that site is even still around in 2012. The music game is a cold hard mistress and she will love and leave that ass in a heartbeat just ask any musician who has been in the trenches for awhile. People are all starry-eyed and naive when it comes to making music and those who don't have a head for business while making sure that they protect themselves while in the music biz they will get done by the music industry and they will be left bitter and broken disillusioned and angry. The music biz is paved on the backs of one hit wonders and acts that never got out of the starting block.
Lets go through some of the people that the music biz has left behind in its tracks:

So new videos I always love's Keyshia Coles videos she is steadily classy her mother and sister no so much, I guess you have to have a balance in every family. Like I was saying I love her videos because she always comes with the best fashions, shoes, and accessories, and make up whoever styles her stays on point for real! It's been rumored that she is dating a basketball player and she has a basketball players jersey on in the video so I want to know is dude a basketball player as the main guy or is he just some random video dude. I love Monica's look as well if her shoes get any taller she stay in some killer heels, shoe game is ridiculous and always on point!

It's been awhile since I have been impressed by videos most videos are boring and have the same concepts you've seen one then you've seen them all...but every once awhile someone will come with a new fresh concept or just a fresh new spin on the same old dry concept and I can appreciate that so therefore these two videos are the business.
First up is Keri Hilson now I have liked all her videos thus far but this one is so relate able she is not glamed up, she is just a regular girl jonesing on a guy and we all know how that feels I think the video does what it's supposed to do and it does it well. So I appreciated the video tremendously, who would have thought that Kanye would be someones video vixen LOL.
Next we have Latoya Luckett's video first off if her 2nd album is coming with bangers like this I might have to see if I can scrape up some money to cop it. The whole concept with the old school nostalgic look and everything I dig that, that's when it was about talent and music not ring tones and flash if you didn't have talent then you weren't a hit! Artist had to work a lot harder and be original back then but I digress peep lance gross being latoya's video vixen luvs it! Personally I always thought that Latoya was the prettiest one in Destiny's children but anyways I see progress in her singing and in her music so I can't wait 2 preview her new album.
It's been nothing but music videos being put out left and right, a true mark of the holiday season when artist start pushing they music and stepping up the promotion game. Gotta try and get that holiday money...anyway first video up is Keri Hilson's her album is pushed back yet again with no definite release date, the economy is hard on everyone's pockets! Anyway I love this song but lil wayne and his vulgar verses goodness "I hope yo vagina tight" lately more and more rappers been rapping on the lack of tight vagina's how about if you stop dicking all these different type chicks and just get one woman you won't have to worry about it. I digress back to my main point which is Keri Hilson's third single off her still to be released CD it reminds me a whole lot of the destiny children video solider I mean there is more dancing and no dogs but pretty much the same concept overall. Keri always has a hot look though and I hope she is rocking wigs like Mary J. all that bleaching and cutting and thangs can really take a toll on a sistas hair!
Next video up is Slim's oh Slim how I loved you in 112 and I still love you. This video is boring and I understand that Slim is going the independent route so I will cut him some slack this is the 2nd single off his album I gave his album a listen on his myspace page its a grown and sexy type album I liked it but I am a 112 fan. I like the song though. If I had the moolah I would get his album.
Someone call Beyaki and tell her to come get her sister...WTH you know what I can't. I'm just going to say yea girl, yea! Maybe it's because I'm tired but this video was all over the place...I mean I get what she trying to say but...damn ya know I'm not a director but I can come up with far better concepts then some of these videos!
